Ian McNaught

Strategic Organisational Development Manager

Ian is an experienced business manager who joined Scotland Excel in 2016.  He leads on the development and delivery of the Scotland Excel Academy, our award-winning learning and development service for the public sector. 

His role also encompasses organisational development initiatives and development opportunities for Scotland Excel staff.  Ian has extensive experience of leading and supporting operations and enterprises globally.

Before joining Scotland Excel, he was the Executive Director of Small Business Charter, facilitating engagement between UK university business schools, SME communities, Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and national parliaments.

Ian represents Scotland Excel on the Scottish Government’s Professional Practice & Development Strategic Forum.
