New course launched to help staff deter serious organised crime

Specialist training on how to prevent criminal activity from damaging public sector contracts and supply chains.

A new public sector course is about to launch to help prevent the infiltration of serious organised crime (SOC) groups into public contracts and supply chains.

Specifically tailored for public sector employees, the two-day course will give an understanding of what serious and organised crime is, the current issues facing Scotland and how groups work to infiltrate public sector supply chains.

Day one will also focus on:
• Types of organisations and transactions that attract SOC
• Public contracts and supply chains most at risk
• Ways public sector staff may be pressured by SOC
• Steps to identify your organisation’s risk profile for SOC infiltration

Day two will focus on ways to deter SOC at the various points of a contract cycle; supplier ‘red flags’ to look out for that can indicate they’re engaged in SOC; and strategies to prevent your colleagues from being influenced by SOC groups.

If you feel that you or members of your team would benefit from this training, booking is now live for:

-Wednesday 2nd / Thursday 3rd November 2022

You can book here: Booking page

Future dates will be planned around course demand and we would also be happy for an organisation to book/purchase an entire course for 16 of its employees.
