About this framework

Framework period: 1 February 2022 until 31 January 2025 with the option to extend for up to 12 months until 31 January 2026.

Scotland Excel’s second generation energy efficiency contractors framework provides our members with an effective and efficient method of upgrading and full house retrofitting to existing housing stock.

It is fundamental enabler that will support the Scottish Government’s key policy objective of attaining net zero by 2045 and has social and environmental policy objectives at its core. As with all our frameworks, this contract was developed in close consultation with several key stakeholders to assist with technical specification and ensure the framework aligned with policy objectives and funding requirements. Discussions were held with Scotland Excel’s membership, several groups within the Scottish Government, Energy Saving Trust, Zero Waste Scotland, Building Research Solutions Ltd, industry contractors and other technical experts across the sector.

Key Facts

To support the Scottish Government’s skills requirements for energy efficiency works, Scotland Excel collaborated with ESP to explore and strengthen the quality of works and skills within the industry. This helped shape ESP’s college curriculum, which will improve the delivery of quality works for our members and help the supply chain to be better equipped to cope with future demand.
