Viewpoint Housing Association

Associate Member

Viewpoint Housing Association was founded in 1947 as a result of the post World War housing shortage. Miss Jane Cunningham, the daughter of a local minister, bought a flat in Rutland Square and let out part of her own apartment to give homeless women a safe place to sleep. It proved so successful that a committee was formed to help manage her growing range of properties.

Viewpoint creates joy in later years by managing a range of supported housing and care services for older people in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife. Its goals are the same today - to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of tenants and residents by encouraging independence, enabling choice and offering peace of mind in a safe and supported environment.

Viewpoint Housing Association is a Registered Charity (SC005619) and are regulated by the Scottish Housing Regulator and Care Inspectorate. Its work is supported by the Viewpoint Trust.
