Skills & Resources Manager

Nick joined us in 2018 as Programme Manager leading a procurement transformation programme delivered by Scotland Excel on behalf of Fife Council.  

Following the successful completion of this programme, Nick was seconded to Stirling Council as Interim Head of Procurement where his commercial focus delivered significant improvements within the procurement team in areas such as community wealth-building, savings and benefits, and contract and supplier management.

In December 2023, Nick was appointed to the newly created role of Skills & Resources Manager. He now leads teams responsible for delivering a range of procurement services to councils, as well as the Scotland Excel Academy. 

Nick has 25 years' experience of working in public sector procurement and programme management roles. Prior to joining Scotland Excel, he worked at the Department for International Development (DfID), and has undertaken procurement management roles at Oxfordshire County Council and City of Cardiff Council.
