Scottish Government launch Climate Change eLearning module

The Scottish Government has launched its new Climate Literacy eLearning module. The module has been developed to help public sector buyers understand the Climate Emergency challenge, and to appreciate how procurement activity can support net-zero aims for their organisation and Scotland as a whole.

The module has been welcomed by public procurement professionals after research established a clear appetite for learning more about this topic. It reinforces current procurement policy and legislation that public bodies should use their public procurement spend to support climate and circular economy ambitions, and support Scotland’s green recovery.

Minister for Trade, Innovation and Public Finance, Ivan McKee said “The Climate Literacy for Buyers eLearning is a welcome resource that will help public bodies to play their part in meeting Scotland’s ambitious climate change commitments. Along with our wider sustainable procurement support, we are keen to make this product widely available.”
