Scotland Excel regains CIPS accreditation

Procurement Excellence Standard awarded for best practice

Scotland Excel is delighted to have re-gained the coveted Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), Procurement Excellence Standard, for its procurement and supplier management activity.

The organisation recently completed the accreditation process which carefully reviewed its procurement and supplier management processes, policies and procedures against strict criteria. Key areas were looked at including sustainability and strategy.

Julie Welsh, Chief Executive of Scotland Excel, said: “As the Centre of Procurement Expertise for local government, we welcome our renewed accreditation of CIPS, which lets our members know that we are absolutely committed to best practice.

“Re-gaining the Procurement Excellence Standard reflects the hard work carried out by our procurement teams to meet the highest possible standards, while always looking to bring new and innovative strategic approaches to public procurement in Scotland.”

CIPS is the leading body representing procurement and supply chain management. Its accreditation programme is an established benchmark of excellence in procurement competence.
