About this framework
Framework period: 1 June 2024 until 30 May 2028
Scotland Excel’s fresh fruit and vegetables framework provides members with a variety of fresh/organic fruit and vegetables such as fresh apples, bananas, grapes, pears, strawberries, carrots, turnip, cabbage, corn and other associated products.
The fresh fruit and vegetables framework will support members to deliver the Nutritional Requirements for Food and Drink in Schools (Scotland) Regulations 2020 which requires primary and secondary schools to offer a minimum of two portions of vegetables and a portion of fruit as part of school lunches.
As with all our frameworks, this framework was developed in close consultation with key stakeholders. It is fully compliant with all legislative requirements and was developed in line with Scotland Excel’s sustainable procurement approach.
