• Suppliers to the framework represent a mix of micro, small, medium and large organisations with 7 suppliers classified as SME’s.
• Suppliers have committed to delivering a range of local community benefits including improving the skill profile of the population, improving levels of education attainment, increasing the proportion of young people in learning, training or work, improving people’s perceptions of the quality of public services, reducing children’s deprivation, reducing Scotland’s Carbon Footprint and reducing waste.
• More than 90% of suppliers on this framework pay, or have committed to pay, the Real Living Wage.
• Sustainable measures were outlined by suppliers including; waste prevention, reuse and recycling initiatives, segregation of waste streams in order to reduce waste to landfill, developing innovative products that are more energy efficient, use of bio-fuels or solar power cells, extending products’ lifecycle through offering refurbished products.
