About this framework

Framework period: 1 August 2022 to 30 April 2028

Scotland Excel’s water coolers and associated consumables framework provides members with easy and efficient access to purchase or rent a range of water coolers including free standing bottled water coolers and plumbed in water coolers. Member can also purchase the associated maintenance and sanitisation services.

As with all our frameworks, this framework was developed in close consultation with key stakeholders. It is fully compliant with all legislative requirements and was developed in line with Scotland Excel’s sustainable procurement approach.

Benefits

Note that the following information was correct at the commencement of the framework and that the figures published may have changed throughout the life of the framework and any extension period applied.

  • 29 local authorities participating in the framework.

  • One of the six awarded suppliers is classified as a microbusiness and four others are SMEs.

  • 12 months price stability for all suppliers.

  • Suppliers offered various approaches to minimising the environmental impact of their operations such as reducing single use plastics in packaging, carbon offsetting and tracking and switching to electric vehicles.

  • Plumbed-in water cooler solutions may have the potential to drive up to 72% carbon footprint reduction.

  • All suppliers have committed to deliver local community benefits.

  • All suppliers pay the Real Living Wage.
