At Scotland Excel, we believe procurement is all about people. Working with us means being part of a team that is committed to supporting the delivery of better and more effective public services that benefit our communities.
Our people-focus is embedded in our culture to create a positive and supportive working environment. Our corporate values - professional, courageous, respectful, integrity - were developed by staff and reflect how we deliver our work and treat one another.
Working at Scotland Excel means being part of an organisation where procurement is firmly in the spotlight. As a leading Centre of Procurement Expertise, we offer a diversity in procurement projects that is rarely found elsewhere. Our £2bn contract portfolio supports a wide range of public services including care, construction, transport, environment, corporate and ICT.
Whether you are starting out in your procurement career, or looking to develop your skills and experience, we offer a clear progression ladder and professional development opportunities including training, qualifications or getting involved in new projects.
All of our staff are encouraged to take ownership and responsibility for the contribution they make towards our success, and to work closely with colleagues to deliver the commitment, innovation and excellence that we promise to our customers.
More than procurement...
Growing demand for our procurement and consultancy services is creating opportunities for candidates with strong commercial, project management, business analysis and/or stakeholder engagement skills to get involved in a range of challenging projects and programmes for our members. Procurement knowledge can be an advantage for those roles but is not always necessary.
From time-to-time, we also recruit for our award-winning Scotland Excel Academy and we are always keen to hear from experienced tutors who are interested in freelance teaching opportunities in our core subjects.
Last but not least, we have a crack team of business professionals behind the scenes providing essential support for the organisation, so we occasionally have vacancies in finance, HR, marketing and communications and ICT.
No matter the role, Scotland Excel offers an opportunity to work in exciting, challenging and dynamic environment, with like-minded colleagues and all the benefits you would expect from a thriving public sector organisation.
