Social Security Scotland

Social Security Scotland is an Executive Agency of the Scottish Government which means that the Agency is accountable to Scottish Government Ministers, and Ministers are accountable to Parliament.

They administer the Scottish social security system effectively, in accordance with the principles in the Social Security (Scotland) Act 2018 and Charter.

Their headquarters are in Dundee, with a second main site in Glasgow with colleagues providing face-to-face support based in communities across every local authority area in Scotland.
