Learning opportunities through the Scotland Excel Academy

Scotland Excel and the Improvement Service have joined forces to provide two learning programmes commencing in October 2020.

The Professional Development Award (PDA) is an established and award winning qualification in Project Management through a Work Based Learning methodology. The qualification was voted winner of the Public Sector Employee Development & Skills Award 2019.

The PDA is a SCQF (Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework) level 8 qualification and is certified by the Scottish Qualifications Authority.

Our next planned cohort starts on 6th October 2020.

We are also delighted to be able to offer our Business Analysis and Decision Making and Innovation Programme. This programme was created in response to a national shortage of business analysis expertise and from expressions of interest from councils who are keen to upskill new or aspiring business analysts. The programme aligns learning with practical application through work-based projects.

The Business Analysis & Decision Making and Innovation Programme leads to qualifications at SCQF8 and SCQF9.

The first cohort begins on 02 October 2020.

The programmes are open to Scottish local authority members, Scotland Excel associate members and other Scottish public-sector candidates.
